1. Agreement to These Terms
Welcome to Fastpitch Authority ("FPA," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service govern your use of fastpitchauthority.com, our events, evaluations, rankings, memberships, and all related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, creating a profile, registering for an event, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Parents, Guardians, and Minors
FPA serves youth athletes, and we take that seriously.
- Adults act for players. All accounts, profiles, submissions, and purchases relating to a player under 18 must be made by that player's parent or legal guardian. By submitting any information about a minor, you represent that you are that player's parent or legal guardian and consent to its use as described in these Terms.
- Public display is limited. Publicly displayed player entries use first name and last initial, along with athletic information such as division, state, positions, metrics, and travel organization. We do not publicly display a minor's contact information.
- Youngest players are protected. Players in our 5U–7U division are never publicly ranked. Their participation is recognized through non-ranked recognition only.
- Removal on request. A parent or legal guardian may request correction or removal of their player's information at any time by emailing Support@FastpitchAuthority.com.
3. Purchases, Memberships, and Billing
- Pricing. All prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time. Changes do not affect purchases already completed.
- Memberships. Memberships are sold as annual terms. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, memberships do not auto-renew silently — you will be able to review before any renewal charge.
- Digital services. Evaluations, video reviews, Direct Connect packages, and similar digital services begin work upon purchase. Once our staff has begun review or delivery, these services are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Refunds & errors. If we make an error — a service not delivered, a duplicate charge — contact us and we will make it right.
4. Events and Showcases
- Registration. Event registrations are for the named player only and are non-transferable to other athletes without our written approval.
- Waivers. Participation in any FPA event requires a signed liability waiver and, for minors, parent or guardian signature. No waiver, no participation.
- Weather and rescheduling. Outdoor events may be delayed, rescheduled, or relocated. If FPA cancels an event without rescheduling, registered players receive a credit toward a future FPA event or service.
- Conduct. FPA events are professional environments. We reserve the right to remove any participant, parent, or spectator whose conduct endangers others or disrupts the event, without refund.
5. Rankings, Evaluations, and Projections
- Editorial discretion. All rankings, ratings, evaluations, badges, and college-level projections are opinions of FPA and its staff, produced under our published methodology. Placement on, movement within, or omission from any ranking is at FPA's sole discretion.
- Rankings are never for sale. No purchase, membership, or relationship with FPA affects a player's ranking position. Paid services buy measurement, visibility tools, and access — never rank. See our Rankings Integrity Policy.
- No outcome guarantees. FPA does not guarantee recruitment, scholarships, roster spots, or any athletic or academic outcome. College projections are informed opinions, not promises.
- Data currency. Verified metrics expire for ranking purposes 12 months after capture. Rankings reflect the data available at the time of each update.
6. Video Verification and Submitted Media
- Protocol required. Video submissions must follow the published FPA Video Verification protocol. Submissions that cannot be validated may be rejected; our review decisions are final. One re-film is included per order as described on the product page.
- Honest submissions. Submitting altered, spliced, speed-manipulated, or otherwise falsified video is grounds for permanent removal from FPA boards and services.
- License to FPA. By submitting video, photos, or other media, the submitting parent or guardian grants FPA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, review, display, and use that media within the Services (for example, on the player's profile and boards). You may revoke this license for future display by requesting removal at any time.
7. Accuracy of Information
You agree that all information you submit — player details, metrics, grad year, and contact information — is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Knowingly submitting false information (including age or grad-class misrepresentation) may result in removal from boards and suspension from the Services.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: misuse or attempt to disrupt the Services; scrape, harvest, or republish FPA data, rankings, or content at scale without written permission; harass FPA staff, players, or families; impersonate another person; or use the Services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
9. Intellectual Property
The FPA name, logo, crest, "Fastpitch Authority," "National Metrics and Rankings," our rankings, evaluations, articles, and site content are the property of Fastpitch Authority and protected by law. You may share links to our public pages; you may not reproduce our content commercially without written permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is." While we measure with consistent tools and published protocols, athletic measurement involves inherent variability, and we do not warrant that any metric, ranking, evaluation, or projection is error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FPA disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FPA's total liability for any claim arising out of the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to FPA for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose. FPA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost opportunities related to recruiting outcomes.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold FPA harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your submissions, or your conduct at FPA events.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time; paid services already delivered are governed by Section 3.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do, and continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.
