National Metrics and Rankings. Fastpitch Authority exists to give every fastpitch family what baseball families have had for years: one trusted, national standard for measuring and ranking players — for every single age, 8U through 18U, in all 50 states.
Every player starts with a free profile in the FPA Player Database — listed in her state, by her age, with her own player card. From there, verified metrics earn her a spot on her state's ranked Top 100: measured in person by FPA staff at our combines and showcases, or Video-Verified from anywhere for $39. The National 100 is reserved for players measured in person — one standard, one door in.
We measure what colleges measure — exit velocity, home-to-first, throwing velocity — with the same tools and the same protocol at every event in the country. Numbers don't play favorites, and neither do we: money never buys a ranking at FPA. It only buys measurement. Read our Rankings Integrity Policy.
FPA was built by coaches and softball families, for softball families — starting in Alabama and building state by state across the country. Whether your daughter is swinging her first bat at an FPA First Combine Day or chasing a college roster spot at 18U, the pipeline is the same: get in the database, get measured, get seen.
