Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026

Fastpitch Authority ("FPA," "we," "us") is built on trust with softball families. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to fastpitchauthority.com, our events, and all FPA services.

1. What We Collect

  • Information you give us. When you contact us, run a free eval, reserve a profile, add a player to the boards, register for an event, apply for a position, or make a purchase, we collect information such as: parent/guardian name and email, phone (if provided), billing details (processed by our payment providers — we never store full card numbers), and communications you send us.
  • Player information (submitted by parents/guardians). Player first and last name, grad year, division, state, positions, travel organization, athletic metrics (e.g., exit velocity, home-to-first, throwing velocity), and any video or media submitted for verification or profiles. We collect this information about young athletes from their parents and guardians — not from the children themselves.
  • Information collected automatically. Like nearly every website, we and our platform provider (Shopify) collect device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and cookies — to run the store, prevent fraud, and understand how the site is used.

2. How We Use Information

  • Deliver the services you request: evals, profiles, board listings, video verification, event registration, memberships, and purchases
  • Operate rankings and boards under our published methodology
  • Respond to messages, applications, and support requests
  • Send service emails (order confirmations, event details, verification results)
  • Send marketing emails about FPA events, boards updates, and services — only with your consent, and every marketing email includes one-click unsubscribe
  • Improve the site, prevent fraud, and comply with law

3. Children's Privacy

FPA exists to serve youth athletes, and protecting them is our first rule.

  • All player information is submitted and controlled by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and children are not the account holders — parents are.
  • Public board and profile entries display first name and last initial only, plus athletic information (division, state, positions, metrics, travel org). We never publicly display a minor's contact information, school address, or exact birthdate.
  • Players in our 5U–7U division are never publicly ranked.
  • A parent or legal guardian may review, correct, or delete their player's information at any time by emailing Support@FastpitchAuthority.com. If we learn we have collected information from a child directly, we will delete it.

4. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we never sell information about players. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who run FPA's infrastructure — Shopify (our store platform), payment processors, and our email service provider — under their own privacy and security obligations, and only as needed to provide their services
  • College coaches and scouts, but only through the specific services designed for it (for example, Direct Connect packets or Scout membership tools) and only the information those services describe
  • Law enforcement or legal process when required by law, or to protect the safety of players, families, or FPA

5. Cookies and Analytics

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies through Shopify to keep carts working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising features. You can control cookies in your browser settings, and you can exercise opt-out choices on our Your Privacy Choices page.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access, correction, deletion. Email us and we'll show you what we have, fix what's wrong, or delete what you'd like removed (subject to records we're legally required to keep, like purchase history).
  • Marketing opt-out. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; opting out never affects paid services or a player's board eligibility.
  • U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on your state, you may have additional rights (to know, delete, correct, or opt out of targeted advertising). Use our Your Privacy Choices page or email us — we honor these requests regardless of which state you're writing from.

7. Data Retention

We keep information as long as needed to provide the services — a player's profile and metric history are the product, and families expect them to persist across her career — and as required for legal and accounting purposes. When a parent requests deletion, we remove the player's public presence and personal information, retaining only what law requires.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and our platform providers (Shopify and our payment processors) maintain industry-standard security including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and contact us immediately about any suspected issue.

9. Where Data Is Processed

FPA operates in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the U.S. by us and our service providers.

10. Changes to This Policy

When we update this policy, we'll change the effective date above — and for meaningful changes affecting player information, we'll notify account holders by email.

11. Contact Us

Privacy questions or requests: Support@FastpitchAuthority.com, or reach us through the Contact page. Please include the player's first name, last initial, state, and board so we can act quickly.
